NOURISH TO LEARN
Feed a Child. Fuel an Education.
Hunger can make the school day harder. Nourish to Learn provides school-based nourishment as an expression of Christ’s love and a practical commitment to children’s well-being.
Help Fuel Learning

Why It Matters
For children and families in our partner communities hunger is a daily challenge. Our response began by listening to headteachers and coming alongside to support them with kitchens and our Nourish to Learn programs.
Our Response
Jesus showed compassion to people who were hungry. His example calls us to respond to real needs with generosity and care. Feeding children is not separate from our faith; it is one way we live it.

Our School Feeding Partnerships

Our next priority

Local leadership
Feeding Program Director Elizabeth Kiarie oversees procurement, meal planning and kitchen operations, working with 12 full-time kitchen staff.

Faith in Action
Jesus calls us to love our neighbors. Our faith motivates this work, and assistance is offered with dignity and without requiring religious participation.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,”Matthew 25:35 (New International Version)
Help Make It Possible
Your partnership can help us respond to verified needs through this program. Give once or consider recurring support where an active giving option is available.
The Lord's Kitchen Feeding Program
The Lord’s Kitchen was established in 2020 at Nduchi Primary School out of the Bennett Sims Memorial Construction Fund. The kitchen currently serves nearly 350 meals daily to the students and faculty at a current cost of around $100 per day. For many children, this may be the only meal they will eat each day.
Porridge Programs
In addition to The Lord’s Kitchen, facilities have been built or refurbished as Munyu-ini Primary School, Kagio Primary School, and Kirangi Primary School to establish Porridge Programs. These programs serve more than 1,300 cups of porridge daily to students at a current cost of around $50 per school per day.
A gift of any amount will change the future for one of these kids! Would you ask the Lord how He would have you participate?
